Emergency Care Programs has supported EMS professionals across New York City for more than 40 years, with training led by experienced, field-tested instructors who understand real-world calls, not just theory.
The course includes 5–6 mandatory in-class sessions. The Challenge Written Exam is administered on the first day, with results determining which online components, if any, are required. The Challenge Practical Exam is administered on the second or third class date, with performance determining whether additional in-person skills sessions are required. At the end of the course, students will complete the Practical Skills Examination (PSE) and prepare to take the New York State Written Examination.
