FAQ β€” EMT-Basic Refresher Program

Is the EMT Refresher Course required for NREMT recertification?

Yes. The course fulfills NREMT recertification requirements, including both the written and practical skill evaluations needed to keep your certification current.

The course is hybrid β€” combining mandatory in-class sessions with required online components. This format keeps training flexible for working EMS professionals.

You must attend 6 mandatory in-class sessions. These sessions focus on hands-on skills review and practical evaluations.

The course prepares you for the Challenge Written Exam and the Practical Skills Evaluation, both required for NREMT recertification.

The total course fee is $695. A registration fee of $295 is due at sign-up and is applied toward your tuition. The remaining $400 is due on the first day of class.

Current sessions are held at ECP Bay Parkway, 6715 Bay Parkway, Brooklyn, NY.

Each session runs approximately 5–6 weeks depending on the schedule you choose.
